In Detroit, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Michigan, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8:30 amβ5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Detroit is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This was my best experience with any health care clinic/ facility! I have truly enjoyed my experience from the very beginning with calling a speaking with receptionist Charlo who also oversees the social media for the clinic, was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Charlo is exactly how I learned about this clinic. It came across my social media page and I immediately knew that this was going to be a great fit because everyone felt inviting and warm in the video. Dr Allen was very kind and informed. I loved how he explained everything and took his time to ensure that I understood. The medical assistant was really nice and friendly! Sidney was warm and friendly when drawing my blood. The dentist and dental assistant both were absolutely wonderful!!! I am truly grateful and very impressed with everyone here. The service was impeccable!

I always have a great experience at Corktown Health start to finish. All the staff -admin, nurses and doctors are kind and patient. It makes a world of difference to be treated as a person rather than rushed through. Have been coming here for years and will continue to do so!

Such a great comprehensive medical service to have in the community! Everyone was so pleasant, and you can tell that they were happy to be there (seems to foster a healthy work environment). Also you can tell very clearly that one of the main value pillars of this community health center is inclusivity which is refreshing. As a new patient, the process was seamless and very friendly. Marva, the front desk receptionist, insured a seamless check-in. I went for dental services, and Angie, the dental hygienist assistant was very sweet and personable, and Dr. Bloxson was friendly and thorough. I will for sure continue to come here for my dental service needs, and I highly recommend anyone who is needing any kind of health or health literacy help to come here π

I have been a patient here for more than 5 years, and enough is enough. The only decent providers they have keep leaving, and I'm not surprised why. The lab run by Quest is totally unprofessional. The tech will be talking on their personal phone the whole time they are supposed to be helping you. Not to mention being badgered for payment during your appointment. The staff ( specifically the office staff for the CEO) are also unprofessional and that's an understatement. While waiting for an appointment one morning, two staffers burst into the waiting room having an argument. It was very escalated and no patient should ever have seen that. Thankfully they were both fired, but it speaks to the level of garbage this clinic is. The only good thing are the medical providers (Patrice, Guillermo, Deena) however even that isn't enough to overcome the other crap that you have to endure. Steer clear of this place at all cost. They have gone way down hill to the point where even calling to schedule an appointment or get a medication refill involves leaving a message and hoping someone actually calls you back. They probably won't.

It bums me out to give this review. Corktown started out great. The past few years however the doctors and staff have a high turnover rate, the online portal rarely works, my medications haven't been being filled for months and when I do get them, it's because I'm calling every day for weeks in order to get any help. Dr. Riddle is one of the absolute best Drs I've ever had, but getting an appointment with her is difficult, getting in touch with her through the portal doesn't work.. We need consistency with our medical care and it shouldn't be such a fight to get my scripts filled, or make an appointment and walk out with the referrals I need. I feel like someone is making a lot of money as they have these galas for funding, is that money you've raised going to improving patient care? Having Drs who are available more than once a week? It doesn't feel like it. Hiring people to answer the phones and take messages that actually get to our providers? That said, I hope y'all get things fixed there. Please don't think because you win those awards for lgbtq primary care, that you can just phone it in now. You won first, the literal other two queer clinics in the state won second and third
